Watching: How I Met Your Mother, Revenge, and Grey's.  I am also really excited for Pretty Little Liars to come back and I am waiting very impatiently for Dexter!

Reading: Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut.  I thought I would read another by him since I enjoyed Slaughterhouse-Five so much! I am also slowly working through the books Boundaries and The Happiness Project.

Looking forward to: Sunshine!! I cannot wait for the spring weather to arrive.

Happy about:  All of the love and culture I just experienced at my uncle's wedding. It was so beautiful and left me feeling so happy!

Anxious about: Listing more flower brooches in the shop.

Working on: A little surprise for you guys because Wednesday of this week will be my 3 year blog anniversary!

Around Here

I have been making lots of earrings... I am loving all the fall colors... shop update coming soon!

I even made new business cards in coordinating colors.

I am also working very hard at my purging goal! Lots and lots of stuff has found it's way to the donation box, and it feels good.  I am even considering putting part of my vintage linen collection in the shop, along with some of my beloved vintage Pendleton skirts (gasp)! 

I have been doing all of this while listening to the Yellow Ostrich album non-stop, thanks to my penpal Amanda! I am in love with it... if you haven't heard it, click here to listen!

Current Obsessions

I am seriously in love with this floral pattern that is at IKEA right now! 

I couldn't help but buy a few things... both sets of glasses, a few planters, paper napkins, 2 serving trays and kitchen towels. The colors in this floral print just make me so happy that I couldn't help but surround myself with it... plus it is so Spring! You can find all of the things pictured above here.

I am also pretty obsessed with these shoes

These shoes are freakishly comfortable. I tried them on at the store and was really sad to learn they only had the pink ones. Don't get me wrong, their pink color is awesome, but knowing this color existed I couldn't settle. My gift cards came today and I can't wait to order them. I have been pretty obsessed with this album lately. It has literally been on loop for the last few days and it's playing while I write this (judge me if you want) :).

Weekend Snippets

Hello... I know it has been a bit silent and I wish I could tell you it was because I was hard at work or on a lovely vacation, but I was just caught up in life.  It was the week of crazy family and friend obligations (I am not complaining), but the introvert in me begins to freak out and I spend all of my down time enjoying the nothingness!

This weekend we were able to recover and do some just for fun things!

On Friday we went to a library sale and I found a ton of books... $1.00 for hardcover and 50 cents for paperback (be still my heart!).  On Saturday we celebrated Record Store Day by perusing our local record store and by going to a pretty awesome concert.

The show was all local bands.  Headlining was Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, and opening for them was one of my all-time favorite bands (and the main reason we went), The Hard Lessons.  There was also a second opening band that I had never heard of called Phantasmagoria and their music was really fun and I am now hooked!  Yes, those are bubbles in that picture. How can a concert with bubbles and confetti not be awesome?  We went for one band and by the end we were in love with all three, making for a perfect concert experience.  (Well, we wont count the pervy guy in front of us that was feeling up a girl while checking his "Ok Cupid" account... bahahaha.)

It's the Weekend!!

My weekend has already started out on the right foot!  Husband and I went with a group of friends to see the midnight showing of the Hunger Games!  It was wonderful to see it brought to life. Even though it did not contain the detail of the book, it still captured the emotion (I cried like a baby even though I knew what was going to happen).

Now, tonight we get to see the awesome band Eisley.  If you have yet to hear them (which I take as a surprise cause I have talked about them quite a bit), you should definitely take a listen!

Somebody That I Used to Know has been very stuck in my head all day and the video is pretty intriguing, so I thought I would share!

Also, this band did a pretty cool cover...

If you haven't listened to Gotye's Album Making Mirrors, I suggest you do. I was really surprised by all of the different styles that are included.

On repeat for the last few days.  Sometimes I get obsessed with an album or song and listen to it non-stop.  Does anyone else do this? If you do, this is one of those albums!  I am kind of addicted... this album is amazing. I was scared I wouldn't like it since I liked her last album so much, but she did it again... I am completely in LOVE!

What I'm Listening to

Foster the People! Yes.... still... I had been waiting for an album to come along and consume me for the summer the way Vampire Weekend did last year! Torches is definitely it!  Here are a few of my favorites off the album, even though I LOVE the whole thing :).

It's been a little busy...

We've had vet appointments for a sick little kitty (who am I kidding, he's not little... he's 17.5 lbs). 

He is on some meds and getting lots of rest in the chair that he has claimed as his throne!  I am sure he will be good as new in no time :).

This weekend....

Friday we spent a little time thrifting while waiting to pick up Ernie (kitty) from the vet.  I found a few things I can't wait to share!  I found more vintage sheets (even washed them) and now there are really no more excuses!!  The quilt must be started!

Sunday... We spent time with family and got to see Foster the People at night! 

We had to wait in a very long line... it was a sold out show...

 It was beyond worth it!  Such an amazing show.... words cannot explain!  If you have yet to hear their stuff, you should definitely check them out!
