Mini Shop Update

Finally, the sun cooperated and I got to snap some pictures. I love the plaid earrings... they have so much texture. I don't know about you, but I could wear plaid every day. They're made from a vintage skirt that I adored, but alas, it was beyond repair.

I know I am a little late with the Christmas polka dots, but I listed them anyways and put them on sale!!

New Wool Earrings!

New earrings in the shop! If you couldn't tell from posts in the past, I fell in love with wools and plaids this year. All the textures and patterns really inspired me, and these are some of my favorites. Two sizes are available go take a look!

Shop Update

New earrings are in the shop! I feel like getting these listed took forever and ever. The colors were just not working with me no matter what I tried. I love taking pictures, but I think that photographing product is one of my least favorite things to do. Sometimes, before I even make something, I think that maybe I shouldn't because it might be too hard to photograph. Honestly, there is a pair of orange with half lace earrings that are just sitting on my desk because no matter what I did, they turned neon orange in the picture.

Few things make me this frustrated. It's up there with breaking a needle on the sewing machine and a knot in the middle of a skein of yarn! Well, enough ranting about product photography... I could go on all day. If you get a minute, go check out the new earrings!

A First!

What better way to get back into the groove of blogging than with some good news?!?! A pair of my earrings are in the current issue of Bead Style magazine!

A couple months back, the editor found my product on Etsy and asked if I would be interested in being in their September issue... ummm... of course!

I also had the pleasure of sharing how to make the earrings on their website. So, if you're interested in the details, head on over to their site and check it out. I am over the moon with this opportunity because I never thought in a million years that I would be included in a magazine. I am just beyond grateful. Sometimes when you make handmade goods, you can begin to feel like no one notices the hard work and love you put into your product. This simple (amazing) thing gave me a little reassurance that people do notice. (And yes, all the exclamation points were needed in this post, because that is just how excited I am. All of the grammar police can go away!!!!)

Am I the only person who gets super nervous before putting new things on Etsy? I second guess myself a million times and care a little too much about things that don't really matter. Then, people find your stuff special enough to treasure and it is all worth it!
