you are a very fickle thing. The weather has been so rainy and dreamy, breeding the perfect situation for reading ALL day and I have! Hope you love the book posts because between reading and gardening I haven't spent too much time creating. Today I am organizing all of my monthly kits for project life in hopes that a clean work table will inspire me to make things... a clean room usually does the trick!

Project Life - January

Here is my first month! As you can tell, I am doing it monthly instead of weekly. I feel like my life isn't interesting enough to do it every week. I am excited to look back and see how my style changes as I learn more and more about Project Life... the possibilities are endless!

Project Life Chaos - Part 2

I told you I would be back with a way to organize the other stuff that goes into Project Life. If you missed Part 1, go see how I organized all of my cards. Instead of figuring out a way for me to have ALL the little things with me when I move about the house, I decided to just make the basics available.

To me, these are the basics... scissors, tape, glue, stickers, pens, date stamp and ink. Using things I already had (sheet protectors, pocketed dividers, pencil pouches, binder rings, paper clips) I was able to creatively contain everything in a one inch binder.

So, there you have it... a simple way to keep some of the little things contained. Gathering all these things led to me also totally reorganizing my craft room because a lot of the little things I use for Project Life, I use for other things too. Now, I have made it all much more accessible. Thank you Project life for making me hyper-organize all my other supplies too!!

Project Life Chaos - Part 1

No one tells you how chaotic doing Project Life can be. Little cards, big cards, cut outs, stickers, photos... this stuff ends up everywhere and you can never ever find the exact card you are looking for. I searched the internet for organizing ideas and it seemed like everyone was using a rolling cart from Ikea, but that was just not going to work for me. I need something I could take up and down the stairs so I could do this project while spending time with Thomas. So the search continued and then I found this!

This perfectly holds all the cards in place and I can arrange them by color/season. You can easily find what you are looking for and I used dividers to separate multiple colors within one compartment. I cannot function unless everything is organized and visually appealing (anyone else?), and what is more appealing than color washi tape and neat compartments?

I am still figuring out stickers, tape and pen type storage, but I have some ideas and I will share them soon! Yep, that is right... this chaos is big enough for a two part series! Do you do Project Life? Do you have any tips? Tell me, tell me!!

Project Life

So it begins... I am jumping on the bandwagon and starting Project Life. What you see in the picture was a Christmas gift from Thomas, and I think it will work perfectly to help me capture more memories and create more things! I am super excited to dive in. I haven't bought a core kit yet, but I am leaning toward the midnight edition.

Also, having the Selphy is kind of life changing! The ability to print pictures at home and not deal with kiosks and all the awkwardness that comes with it, is just priceless.

If you have any tips or tricks for keeping up with Project Life, I would love to hear them!!
