To me, reading these books was the equivalent of watching Paranormal Activity. I loved it! I truly enjoyed her writing style, and she establishes the characters so well that you don't ever want to say goodbye (I hope I am not alone in getting attached to characters in books).
After I finished the first book, I didn't have a big urge to start book two... there wasn't really much left undone. I found out later that this was because it was written to be a standalone book and it later turned into a series. Once I started the second book and all the creepy things started to happen, I was hooked and didn't stop reading until I finished the third (thank you Kindle for making that possible). If you are in the mood for a hauntingly good ghost story, I highly recommend this series.
I also read Michael Pollan's Food Rules: An Eater's Manual. I have read his other books and I love how straight forward and well-researched he is. This little book is full of good tips to help you while at the grocery store or out to eat. It is a very quick read, and if you like reading about food, you should check it out!
Have you read anything good lately? I am always looking for things to read, let me know!

I would be too scared to read these books. Especially since I do a lot of my reading at bedtime! I'm more into funny summertime reading right now. I'm currently reading One For the Money by Janet Evanovich. So far it's pretty entertaining.
ReplyDeleteAh too scared to read those books haha. I've read the "Something Borrowed" series by Emily Giffin so many times and I just re-watched the movie, so I'm craving another reading session with the books!
ReplyDeleteI have to read these books!
