Closet Restyle Part 2: Button Up Sweaters

If you missed the first closet restyle, look here :).  I don't know about you, but I am addicted to sweaters.... I love them.... I think I own more sweaters than anything else.  That being said, I am really trying hard to not buy anymore by shopping within my closet and figuring out ways to create my new wants.

Really cute floral sweaters have been popping up everywhere, and I was drooling over many of them. So, I took this very old, much loved sweater and added new buttons, found a floral fabric and made my own.

I have a really hard time finding short sleeve sweaters that I like.  They're often really short or really wide and never fit quite the same way.  Problem solved!

This sweater was on sale at Target last year, and I couldn't pass it up... $4.00.  I've worn it a few times, but it seemed like it needed something.... a collar! The color was already so granny-chic that the simple eyelet trim made the perfect collar (the trim was on sale at Joann's too).

I hope that these simple sweater updates inspire you to go shopping in your own closets and make something new!

  2. Amazed!!!! I like the term 'shopping within my wardrobe'. That is such a fab concept. Ive turned jeans into skirts and printed stuff on tshirts but that's about it. :/ bought a book the other day which is all about customising your existing clothes so I might dig that out and be inspired.
